Simulation time estimation

Post by bendesarts » Mon Sep 22, 2014 9:19 pm

Hello,

I would like to obtain the information about the simulation time.
For example, in matlab, there is the "tic and toc" function so as to determine the simulation time.
Is there any similar function in 20-sim to obtain and keep the information of the simulation time ?
I didn't find yet in the help.

Thanks a lot for you help

Hello,

There is currently no similar function which does exactly what "tic and toc" function does in matlab. This is partly because of the internal workings of 20-sim's integration method. However, making a "timing function" for a model/sub-model evaluation in 20-sim is already in our wish list.

In the mean time, depending on the application, you can use the scripting functionality of 20-sim in-order to evaluate your model with a tic and toc function from matlab/octave.

I hope that helps,

Regards,
Hiwot

Thank you for your clear answer.
I recently thought about this solution with a matlab script and I'm trying to do this solution at the moment. I think this solution should answer perfectly to my need. I will keep you informed about it.
Thank you for your help.
