Erroneus values written to file

Postby frankam » Thu Aug 31, 2006 12:35 pm

When writing my simulation results to a datafile something strange happens.
I've set the "Output after each" option to 0.01.
In the file the following values are saved:

Code: Select all

0.28   5.8155
0.29   6.4055
0.29   6.4655
0.2901   6.4655
0.3   7.0135
0.31   7.6345
0.32   8.2635

The program I use to evaluate this data does not now how to handle this "extra" data point and stops importing the data.

Could this be a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for your help!
Cheers,
Frank

This is correct, each data point after the time you specified is plotted / exported. However, all events generate additional output at the exact event time (before and after the event). That is the cause of the double entries in your datafile. The solution is to use the Resample Data option in the Simulator to get a nice equidistant dataset.
