bad calculation result in "exp" instruction

Post by tobicitas » Sun Mar 27, 2011 12:06 pm

i have set up a simplified simulation modell of a combustion engine.

In an thermodynamic equation I have a "exp(...) function.

After 100s normally running the simulation stops and says:
"bad calculation result in "exp" instruction "

The last calculated value within the "exp" function is 0,586... and therefore there shouldnt be a problem.
What can I do to solve the problen and can the error message be more specified?
I would apreciate a feedback this time....

Thanks a lot

From your description, the problem seems to lie on the argument given for the exp() function during a minor step at the specified time. I would propose monitoring the argument given to the function more closely.

But you are right, the error messege could be a bit more specific. Thanks for the comment :)
If the problem remains unsolved, you can send your model for us to see what else could be a problem.
