Parameter Relations not workin in new 20-sim version

Post by meti » Tue Apr 02, 2013 1:58 pm

Defining parameter relations between a model parameter and its submodel that uses the parameter is not working in 20-sim 4.3
It gives back an casualty conflict error message. Any solutions?

Hey Tade,

I'm not sure what you meant by parameter relations. Could you please list down the steps that are used to reproduce the problem? I can then replicate it here and see what the cause is.

When you right click on a submodel and go to 'Edit Interface', there is a tab which says 'Parameter Relations' to define parameters for submodels. It was defined like for example: Submodel1/parameter1 = parameter1;

In the new 20-sim version the functionality can be implemented using 'Globals' tab to define global parameter declarations. Even after using that 20-sim crashed. The problem was there were 'white spaces' left in the "Parameter Relations' definition that were not deleted.

Model with 'Parameter Relations' which seems empty but has one line like in the fig below wont compile.
